Airia Oy (Ltd) founded 1994, delivers power plants that run on biofuel for combined heat and electricity production. Our products have capacities of up to 5 MW,e. BioHAT® Power Plant is a new generation small-scale power plant that uses biofuel. Airia has patented this process. It is based on an externally fired gas turbine cycle where heat and gas is transferred to the working gas via a heat exchanger. In the design and optimization of the process well-known methods from pulp and paper industry have been applied. In BioHAT®, the temperature of the working gas entering the turbine remains lower than with the conventional gas turbines. Very important improvement in our concept is modular power plant concepts and the high speed technology used in their power generation solutions.
